60 years with forms and colours

The challenge: Bonar Plastics A/S started out as a trading company and was originally called Metas. Today, the company is one of the leading rotational moulders in the world. In 2006, Bonar Plastics A/S had its 60th anniversary and also moved to new premises in Farum. The occasion was to be celebrated together with employees, customers and partner, while at the same time generating media interest in both Bonar and the new premises.

The solution: Because Bonar works on a daily basis with plastic products in all shapes, forms and colours, it was natural to make forms and colours the prevailing theme of this special day.

The concept involved making everything from the invitations, decorations and clothing to the food and drinks bright and colourful, overflowing with creativity and fun. It was essential that the theme was so complete that it would be self-explanatory. There was to be no doubt as to the nature of the reception’s theme.

The reception was indeed a colourful display of food and drinks in various forms and colours, while the conjurer Mr. Mox came and entertained the guests. In addition, all manner of rotating decorations played a conspicuous part on the day.

Selected media were invited to the reception, and were given a press kit containing Bonar’s history, product presentations as well as pictures of products and the building. Press releases were also sent out both before and after the reception. After the anniversary celebrations were over, a lot of really good photos from the reception were also distributed.

The results: The anniversary was a truly special day for both employees and customers. What’s more, the PR efforts gave Bonar Plastics A/S good press coverage in both Denmark and Sweden, where it was profiled as a creative and innovative company.
